Today we hosted a webinar on “Reimagining Resilience” led by Kyle, our Wellbeing Expert, and Sam, our Lead for Employee Experience. In the session we explored how resilience has evolved in today’s fast-paced workplace, offering actionable tips for business leaders to build a thriving and adaptable team, and a little introduction to our new Energise programme.
A New Age of Resilience
The discussion kicked off by acknowledging the significant changes that have redefined resilience. Factors like AI automation and machine learning, economic shifts, and unexpected crises like the pandemic have required businesses to be more flexible than ever and resilience isn’t just a goal anymore; it’s a vital skill that organisations need to have to succeed.
Building Individual Resilience
In the first part of the webinar, we looked at strategies which individuals can adopt to build their own resilience. This included self-awareness, emotional regulation, developing a growth mindset, learning effective stress management, prioritising self-care, and cultivating a sense of purpose. Building a strong support network was also emphasised as a key factor in navigating challenges.
Reimagining Resilience in the Modern Workplace
Moving beyond individual strategies, we looked at reimagining resilience through the lens of the modern workplace looking at 6 key themes:
- Endurance to Adaptability
- Collaborative Resilience
- Innovation & Creativity
- Mental Health & Psychological Safety
- Technology’s Role
- Demographics
We were able to use some real case studies to illustrate these concepts and help to show that these things can be implemented in all shapes and sizes of organisations.
